Youth Ministry Director

About the Role
The Youth Ministry Director will report directly to the Head Priest and demonstrate a passion for connecting young people to Christ and His church. This person will design and lead the St. Mary’s youth ministry program for grades K-12th, to help our young people grow spiritually and relationally. This includes religious and social activities.
Qualifications

- A practicing Orthodox Christian who maintains a love for Christ and His Church, and who serves as an excellent role model in keeping with the moral teachings of the Church.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
- Approachable personality with the interpersonal skills to effectively work with people of all ages.
- Previous youth ministry work experience (paid position or volunteer experience).
- Ability to handle and manage confidential information.
- General knowledge and willingness to learn necessary technologies including but not limited to: Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Realm – Church Management Software, and social media, WordPress, among others.

Office Assistant

Terms: Part-time position, 4-5 half days per week (16-20 total weekly hours)
About the Role
The Office Assistant will report directly to the Office Manager and perform clerical and administrative tasks that support the overall church operations. This role is on the frontlines, and is often the first-person parishioners, visitors, and vendors, talk to or see, as the initial representation of the church.
Qualifications
- A committed and practicing Christian who maintains a love for Christ, and has a strong desire to serve within a church.
- Previous experience working in an office environment.
- Willingness to learn the high-level operations of the church in order to help those who either walk-in or call the office.
- Must have a professional attitude and display a servant’s heart.
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- The ability to discern needs and take initiative to meet those needs.
- Excellent clerical and communication skills.
- Outgoing personality with the interpersonal skills to effectively work with people of all ages.
- Ability to handle and manage confidential information.
- Familiarity with Microsoft technologies (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness and ability to learn the Church Management System (Realm)

Music Ministry Director

About the Role
The Music Ministry Director will report directly to the head priest and demonstrate love and dedication to Christ and the worship tradition of His Church. This person will serve as the lead musician for the worship services and sacramental life of the parish. This includes singing as well as leading, teaching, and training parishioners who join the choirs and chant groups for the edification of all who join us in worship.
Qualifications
- A practicing Orthodox Christian who maintains a love for Christ and His Church, and who serves as an excellent role model in keeping with moral teachings of the Church.
- Ability to use both Western and Psaltic/Byzantine music notation.
- Proficiency in directing choirs and chant groups.
- Previous music ministry work experience (paid position or volunteer experience).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Possess organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
- Approachable personality with the interpersonal skills to effectively work with people of all ages.
- Ability to handle and manage confidential information.
- College-level music training is preferred.
- General knowledge and willingness to learn necessary technologies including but not limited to Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Realm – Church Management Software, and social media, WordPress, among others.
