Staying Connected with St. Mary’s

As our world faces uncertain and challenging times, we at St. Mary’s want our parishioners and friends to know that we are here for you. At the present time, and until further notice, the church, building, and office are open during weekday business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.). We invite all who find a need, to stop in, light a candle, and spend some time in God’s House, praying or simply spending a few quiet moments away from the news and the outside world. If you have questions or concerns, please give us a call, 612.825.9595.

Prayer

Until further notice, services at St. Mary’s, and at houses of worship around the world, are suspended.

We are livestreaming our services and programs on our Facebook page and many of our services are being recorded and available on our YouTube page. We encourage everyone to subscribe! Videos of services, story time for young kids, and messages from the clergy are found there.

Since we are not able to attend in-person worship, we are offering and encouraging some options for prayer at home, and our prayers should become more frequent and more fervent.

This Sunday’s Readings.

When we are unable to attend Divine Liturgy, the Typica Service is the prayer service we would say.

You can find the daily readings on the Archdiocesan website.

We pray for a speedy end to this pandemic.

Benevolence

Saint Mary’s parishioners are very generous donors to the weekly food shelf collections. Now, more than ever, the need is even greater. Please don’t forget about the needy in our community. You can bring bags of packaged or canned food to St. Mary’s during weekday business hours or mail a contribution to any of the food shelves we support:

Stewardship

We invite all who are able to please continue your financial commitment to St. Mary’s during this difficult time.

Even though our in-person worship and activities are suspended for the time being, we still have financial obligations to fulfill such as utility bills, our Archdiocesan stewardship, and building maintenance, among a number of other things.

This year, why not give your Pascha offering online? It’s easy – just click this link and go to the Quick Give link in the lower right corner and follow the prompts. You can find the link to our online giving instruction sheet below.

You may mail your offering to the church or go on-line to make a payment. Go back to our website’s homepage and click the “Give Now” button on the right side. We are providing a detailed instruction sheet to assist you with this task. Download it here.

Pastoral Services

As we live through these difficult times, please be assured that our clergy and staff are here for you. Even though larger public gatherings are strongly discouraged, our clergy are still willing to meet one on one. Please contact us or our clergy personally to schedule a time for any of the following:

• Confession

• House Blessings

Furthermore, we are taking steps to increase our digital and virtual engagement with the parish and our youth during this irregular period.

If you know of someone who does not have a computer or Internet access, please let them know they can request a paper copy of any of the above by contacting David in the Church Office, 612.825.9595.
