2026 “Share Your Shelf” Weekly Program
Thank you to St. Mary’s Parishioners for your generous donations to our weekly food shelf collection.
July’s recipient is JOYCE UPTOWN FOOD SHELF (website)
IMMEDIATE NEEDS: diapers and wipes, toothbrushes and toothpaste, Ramen Noodles.
- Sunday, September 6: Ramen Noodles
- Sunday, September 13: Cereal (both hot and cold)
- Sunday, September 20: Canned Meal – large cans (e.g. chili / pork and beans)
- Sunday, September 27: Hygiene items (toothpaste, soap, shampoo, conditioner)
Please do not bring any opened packages as they will be discarded.
The need is greater than ever as food insecurity in our community continues to skyrocket. You can bring bags of packaged or canned food to St. Mary’s during weekday business hours or on Sunday mornings prior to Divine Liturgy. We also have a collection box for monetary donations to help food shelves purchase needed food items. Checks should be made payable to “St. Mary’s GOC” with “Share your Shelf” written in the memo line.

Now when Jesus heard this, he withdrew from there in a boat to a desolate place by himself. But when the crowds heard it, they followed him on foot from the towns. When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick. Now when it was evening, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a desolate place, and the day is now over; send the crowds away to go into the villages and buy food for themselves.” But Jesus said, “They need not go away; you give them something to eat.” (Matthew 14:13-21)
