Like Masterclass—but Orthodox.

If you are hungry to dive deeper with vetted theologians, here’s your chance. St Vladimir’s Online School of Theology is an accessible extension of St Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary. Today, we are offering non-degree courses with two of our faculty. As St Vladimir’s Online School of Theology grows, we plan to expand our course offerings to include certifications and even our M.A. program.

The Children’s Word

Presvytera Alexandra Houck created The Children’s Word bulletin so children will know they are not only welcome in church, but even more, an essential part of the Church family. Each issue includes a message on the Sunday Gospel lesson and on one of the saints for the week, with age-appropriate articles, stories, and activities. She hopes this weekly bulletin will be just one more way we can make kids feel at home in church. Presvytera Alexandra is a graduate of Duke University and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology.

Chicago Metropolis & Archdiocese Resources

The Chicago Metropolis and  Greek Orthodox Archdiocese includes resources for daily living (such as prayers, saints’ lives, icons), as well as content for parishioners and others searching for specific Orthodox resources on families, youth, young adults, sacraments, and music.

LIVING WATER PRODUCTIONS has been created by the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago as the vehicle through which it will produce original and engaging religious education content for all people, wherever they are on their faith journey. Whether through a video series, a podcast, or a documentary, you will find tools to help deepen your understanding of faith and your relationship with God and neighbor.

The first project of Living Water is “The Person of Christ” – a 12-episode video series developed to deepen your knowledge of Christ, both spiritually and intellectually.

The second project is Living Water Conversations – discussions and interviews with noted theologians, educators and thought leaders. First up: His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael’s interview of world-renowned theologian, Fr. Alexis Torrance, discussing “The Person of Christ,” Living Water’s first video series. The discussion will include a Q&A segment with questions submitted by participants! Watch for details.
