Sunday Church School Program
Our Church School program strives to educate our most precious resource, our children. Students are taught about our Orthodox faith including teachings of our Lord, prayers, hymns, doctrine and the lives and teachings of the saints and holy fathers and mothers. We also hope to instill in them a moral compass to guide them for the rest of their lives by nurturing the habit of attending church regularly, studying the Scriptures, and participating conscientiously in the worship and sacramental life of our church.
Church School begins with family worship in Divine Liturgy at 9:30 am on Sunday mornings. The students proceed to class following Holy Communion. Classes end at 11:30 am. Click here for more details.
Vacation Church School
Our Vacation Church School (VCS) program occurs for one week every summer, usually the second week of June, and is for kids four-years old (toilet trained) to rising 6th graders in the fall. Children learn about our Orthodox religion through fun, age-appropriate activities, crafts, singing, and lessons.
Women’s Book Club
The Women’s Book Club meets monthly studying an Orthodox Spiritual Book. Read the Messenger for more details.
Orthodox Lectures
Offered periodically during the year on special occasions and during retreats, such as in Great Lent and in Advent before Christmas. Theologians, scholars, and clergy from throughout the U.S. and the world are brought in to share their knowledge and inspire us.
